Methodology

Quality & testing

How Peptigen Bioscience verifies the identity and purity of every lot before it is released for sale.

HPLC purity analysis

High-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) separates the components of a sample so that the target peptide can be quantified relative to related impurities. Purity is reported as the area percentage of the main peak at a stated detection wavelength.

Each product has a purity specification. A lot is released only when its measured purity meets that specification.

Identity confirmation

Identity is confirmed in the same HPLC run with diode-array (UV) detection: the main peak of the sample must match a reference standard of the peptide in retention time and UV spectrum. For a blend, each component is identified separately.

Net peptide content per vial

Chromatographic purity says how clean the peptide is, not how much of it is in the vial. The laboratory therefore also measures the net peptide content in milligrams per vial and reports it against the label claim.

Independent laboratories

Analysis is performed by independent third-party analytical laboratories. The laboratory name, test date, and analyst sign-off appear on each Certificate of Analysis.

Lot traceability

Every vial label carries a lot number. That number links to the batch record, the independent COA, our receiving records, and the storage history of the lot.

If a lot is ever placed on hold, it is withdrawn from sale and customers who received it are notified.

Storage & handling

Products are supplied as lyophilized powder in sealed vials. Vials are held in cold storage and delivered in 2–3 business days; orders are dispatched from the United States with a tracking number.

Recommended storage conditions for each product appear on the product page and the lot COA.

What a COA contains

  • Product name and lot number
  • Testing laboratory, test date, and authorized signature
  • HPLC chromatogram and reported purity
  • Identity against a reference standard (retention time and UV spectrum)
  • Net peptide content per vial against the label claim
  • Appearance and form

Scope of our testing

Our analysis characterizes the chemical identity and purity of the supplied material only. We make no representation regarding any biological activity of any compound. All products are sold for in-vitro laboratory research use only and are not for human or veterinary use.
